GENERAL QUESTIONS
What is a printable file?
A printable file are digital files that you can access immediately or it will be emailed to you, depending up on the item you purchased. You may print these at home or your favorite copy shop. All files are in PDF format, unless otherwise noted. If you need a JPG for a photo shop upload or print, please contact me, so I can convert your files accordingly.
What software do I need for my files?
Please ONLY use THE LATEST version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and edit (where applicable) your files.
MAC USERS: Preview will NOT open your files correctly. Please download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Will you print and ship to me?
Unfortunately, I am not providing printing and/or shipping services. All of these items are easy to download and print at your convenience in your own home or at a copy shop of your choice. (eg. Staples, OfficeMax/Office Depot, Kinkos, etc.) See further details about printing below.
What format are the files?
All files are formatted to fit on standard US letter size of 8.5" x 11". (or A4 for international customers.) If you need further customizing, please contact me to see if this is possible.

Can I use/open/edit my files on a smartphone, tablet, iPad or iPhone?
No. Your files will not be editable or work properly on these devices. Please use your computer ONLY to work with your files and to upload any to your copy shop, if needed. Please do not upload the files from your handheld devices as the quality will suffer.
Once I'm done with my item, can I share or sell the files?
No. You may print as many as you may need for your event, gift, etc., but you may not share or sell the digital files to family, neighbors, friends, etc. These are copyrighted items done with love and by purchasing them, it does not transfer that right.
How long will I be able to keep my files?
Once you've paid for your files, they are yours as long as you use them for PERSONAL USE ONLY. Remember to SAVE!
I'm an Event Planner/Party Planner, can I redistribute or sell your files for my business?
No. You may print as many as you may need for your specific event, party, etc., but you may not send, sell or reuse the digital files for new clients and customers. Again, these are copyrighted items and by purchasing them, it does not transfer that right. You do not own the designs, only the use of the design for your event under copyright law. Karma.
Are you taking custom design requests?
Unfortunately, I have decided to no longer offer custom requests at this time so I can continue to create new items for you!
ORDERS
How do I order an item?
All of my printable items are sold in my Etsy shop. Please note that you will have to have an Etsy account in order to complete your purchase.
It's easy and free to set up and within moments, you will be able to order! There will be a link to show you how to download once your purchase is complete. If you have any questions, simply contact me.

How do you personalize my order?
Some items in the shop will need to be personalized by me and not edited by you. (Please read your item's description completely!) When you are in the process of purchasing, you will see a "Notes to Seller" area. This is where you will include ALL DETAILS and information as specified per product. If I don't receive this, I will contact you ASAP, as it will place a delay on your order until you send me this information. You can also convo me this information.
When can I see a proof?
If you have ordered an item that requires a proof, your initial proof will be sent to you within 24-48 business hours after I have received your payment and all of your required information. PLEASE review this proof very carefully, as currently I can only provide two proofs per order at this time. Each additional proof will require a change fee, unless it's an error on my end.
How do I request a Custom Order from The Chart Shop?
Please check each item's listing to determine what can and cannot be custom made for you. Fonts or color changes are not allowed on any of my products at this time. This is so I can spend my time designing new and fabulous items for you! If you have any questions, please ask!
Can I see my requested custom order before I pay for it?
Sorry, but I do not design anything without payment for the item first. We will work closely together to make sure that everything is just as you wanted and will be perfect for you and your family.
I've been notified my item was 'shipped' to my email, but I can't find it. Where can it be?
Please check your 'Junk' or 'Spam' email box if you haven't received your files within the time frame specified. Also, please make sure your email associated with your Etsy account is your current email.
I've changed my mind, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, due to the nature of these digital items, I do not provide any refunds or exchanges, so please be confident in your purchase!

Can you convert a birthday party theme to a baby shower or bridal shower?
Yes! Please contact me and we will coordinate availability and details. Please keep in mind the turnaround time to make these changes.
Terms of Use Notes:
- All files are for PERSONAL, NON-COMMERCIAL USE only!
- You may not forward, sell or distribute these files in any form; digital or printed.
- You may not alter or change these files for other distribution nor claim any item as your own.

How do I access my files?
If you have purchased an Instant Download, you will receive notification via email from Etsy that your link is ready. Please download your files from your computer and not a handheld device. You will need the latest FREE version of Adobe Reader to open the files.
If you have a custom order or an item that will be emailed to you directly from me, please check your inbox, or even your junk or spam folder for your order once you have notification that it has 'shipped'. When you have opened your email, click on the attached file link and download to your computer to save.

How do I edit my editable PDF?
Editing your files is easy!
- DOWNLOAD YOUR FILE. After your purchase you will be sent a link within minutes to download your file. Click on your link and download the PDF file or files to your computer. Open the latest version of Adobe Reader on your computer and proceed to Step 2! *Note: You cannot edit these on any handheld device!
- OPEN IN ADOBE READER. Yes, I know this may be overkill, but PLEASE open everything in the latest version of Adobe Reader to save time and headaches. *MAC users: Do NOT use Preview, your file will not work. All files are password protected for copyright purposes. This will not affect your editing. If you are asked for a password, you are opening the file in a different program.
- ADD YOUR TEXT. When you open your file, you will either see an empty blue text box or sample text that you can type over. Edit each line as you need. Most text is sized to fit. If you find you need further customizing or have questions, please contact me.
*You will not be able to edit any graphics, fonts or colors.

*The blue boxes will NOT print when you are done. - SAVE TO YOUR COMPUTER. Save your edited file to a safe spot on your computer for easy access and printing.
*Please remember these charts are for PERSONAL use ONLY! *Please no sharing, copying, distributing or otherwise. Thank you! - PRINT YOUR FILE. Heavy white card stock is preferred for best quality. (I use 110 lb white) - photo or regular paper works as well!
*If printing at a copy shop, they will have to have the latest Adobe Reader to open & print properly. Ask first!

Can I change the graphics, fonts, colors or add a photo?
No. The only thing that will be editable are the blue boxes that appear in your file when you open it. Should you need further customizing or have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Do I need to install fonts for editing?
No. All fonts are embedded within your PDF file.
PRINTING & PAPER
Is it easy to print at home?
I print 99% of my items in my home office. I use an inkjet printer on bright white matte card stock. (See paper info below.) However, you know your own printer qualities better than I do. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this and I will do my best to help you out.
Printer settings recommendations: Print on your white card stock or premium photo paper and set your printer's settings to borderless, marginless or full bleed for 8.5" x 11" (or A4 for international customers) to ensure proper scale of items. Change your output settings to High, Photo Print (matte paper) or your printer's best print setup. This will ensure proper color output and crisp printing.

Can I print or upload my files to a copy shop?
Yes! It's easy to have your files printed at Office Max/Depot, Staples or the like. First, edit your files, proof, re-proof and then save. Save your files to a flash drive as you will not be able to upload the PDFs on their website. Verify that your selected copy shop has the latest version of Adobe Reader or your files will not be able to be opened or printed. Most do, but it's always best to ask! Bring your flash drive and your print release from me that you received with your order to the store.
Choose a bright white glossy or silk heavy card stock to print on. Ask for a sample sheet if you are unsure which one you'd prefer!

Can I print or upload my files to a photo printing lab?
No. Unfortunately you will not be able to upload your PDF files to a photo lab (Costco, Walgreens, Vistaprint, etc.) without your files being converted to a JPG or PNG. Please contact me to convert these files for you.
What type of paper do you recommend for party collections and invitations?
I love to use 90lb or 110lb bright white card stock, which prints clean and is not too heavy to trim - I have also used 65lb card stock from time to time, but prefer the heavier weight. Premium weight photo paper is another great option in matte or soft gloss. Some will be just fine to print on regular print paper as well. There truly is no right or wrong. These types of paper can be found at office supply stores, craft stores, big box stores & obviously online. Again, if you would like help, please contact me.
Paper types for any item in the shop:
- Bright White Heavy Card Stock (90 to 110lb) - Best for party collection items, routine charts, routine cards, gift tags, items you'd like to laminate, countdowns, craft items, etc. (Card stock is my favorite!)
- Matte or Soft Gloss Photo Paper: Also great for party collection items, invitations, charts (if framing)
- Full Sheet Sticker Paper: Perfect for address labels, envelope seals, gift labels or anything you'd love to turn into a sticker!
- Regular Printer Paper: Planners, charts (if framing or printing a new one each week), prints (to frame), etc.
What size frames do you recommend for charts?
Since the charts are sized to print at 8.5" x 11", please use a document size frame for your charts. I use frames from IKEA that work perfectly for us with a dry erase marker. Please note that you will have to trim the paper slightly to fit the IKEA frames.

Do I have to print all of the files that my party collection has?
No. You can always choose what page to print when prompted on your printer's setting screen before you print.
Can I resize the files to fit my needs?
Please don't. Your printing resolution will not be optimal. If you have something specific, please contact me.
How many time can I print each file?
As many times as you need! Please do not forward, share, sell or distribute the files, as they are copyrighted.
Can I print the labels on Avery label paper or the like?
No. Unfortunately, the labels will are not designed to match with templates. Please use a full sheet sticker paper to print and trim with scissors instead.
